I love 'Journey to Babel'.

There are better episodes, there are funnier, sadder, more dramatic episodes but none I love as much as 'Journey to Babel'. Not least McCoy's glee at learning about Spock's selkat.

This one is getting a day 0 because, due to not being in the house all that often, computer games and money, I have no access to Discovery, Picard, Lower Decks, Strange New Worlds or Prodigy, so these will all be missing from my answers.

Further comments later but Star Trek Beyond definitely gets thumbs up. It’s the first of the new films to get on with being a Star Trek film rather than being weighed down by it. Justin Lin can also direct all the things in future.

At the minute, Australia seems to be sending us it's murder mysteries, so Drama (the channel) are showing them early in the a.m., possibly to appeal to the hungover student crowd. The most recent one I've caught is Mr and Mrs Murder (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr_% ( Read more... )

Thank you would be the first and most obvious thing.

And ask him, if he felt so inclined, whether he could manifest himself and convince someone to make a new sci-fi show, not necessarily Trek-related, that was positive about the future and people. It seems to be something we're missing in TV at the minute.

The obvious one to go for is Kirk, Spock and McCoy. I don't know how deliberate it was, but they're very much a version of 'the heart, the head and the hand' in the way that the epigram of Metropolis has it 'The mediator between Head and Hands must be the Heart', with McCoy being the hands, Spock the head and Kirk the hands.
